Yin Yoga is a great compliment to an active life style. It focuses on calm, floor based postures that are held over time, and you can allow your body to surrender to gravity. The pace of the class allows you to witness the sensations in the body and mind. Physically, yin yoga works on the connective tissue of the body and joint mobility, which results in a more open and available body.
The class is usually focused on a specific area of the body, and also relates to one or several chakras. Through the stillness of the physical body, you have more time to notice the subtle layers of the body; to connect with the breath and your inner landscape.
This class is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners!
MORE ABOUT YIN YOGA
Start the day with a dynamic and strengthening yoga class, inspired by Ashtanga Yoga. Deepen your awareness of the breath in synchronisation with the movement of the poses. The class starts with a short breathing exercise (Pranayama), followed by the sun salutations (Surya Namaskara) and standing and seated postures (Asanas). The guided meditation (Dhyana) in the end will allow your body mind to process the information from the class and regain energy.
Suitable for mixed levels, appropriate adjustments will be given to accompany different levels
The class is not suitable for people with injuries
